Join WFAE at Lenoir-Rhyne as they celebrate 30 years of serving the Hickory area with a special "Charlotte Talks" live taping on the Miracle of Hickory.

In the 1940s, Hickory built an emergency polio hospital in just 54 hours — a community effort now known as the “Miracle of Hickory.” 

Event Highlights

The evening starts at 5:30 p.m. and, will include:

• Live taping of "Charlotte Talks" with Mike Collins
• A reception during which you can meet WFAE staff and board members
• Remarks from Hickory leaders and WFAE staff
• A Q&A with "Charlotte Talks" host Mike Collins
• The event is free, but registration is required. We are asking that when you register, you consider making a donation in honor of our 30th anniversary.
