Hear the story of a decade of building a youth community at the Trevecca Urban Farm to cultivate environmental justice through a joyful fusion of farming, forestry and bicycles in the center of Nashville. 

Jason Adkins, director of the Trevecca Urban Farm, teaches environmental justice at Trevecca Nazarene University. During his presentation, he will share stories about green-collar youth jobs, the elegance of landscape goats, the satisfying economy of bike-powered fruit tree plantings, urban chickens and defense against the possum arts, the pleasures and perils of rooftop beekeeping, and some thoughts about ways to stay sane and work together in the midst of immeasurable loss.
