About this Event
625 7th Ave NE, Hickory, NC 28601
Take a journey with the National Lutheran Choir. Join us for a concert of music from the Lutheran canon and works that explore the common struggle through life’s journeys, both those chosen and those forced upon us. When the road gets long and our legs get heavy, we share the stories of those who have gone before us and pave the way for those who will come after.
Works from the Lutheran choral tradition by composers such as Heinrich Schutz, Knut Nystedt and F. Melius Christiansen will stand side by side with diverse selections from Florence Price, Stacey Gibbs, Alice Parker, Zanaida Robles and others, which highlight the stories of enslaved Africans, immigrants and refugees in the United States.
PLEASE NOTE: Tickets will be sold online until Friday, March 1, at 12 p.m. No tickets will be sold at the door for this event.
