The inaugural MLK Day of Service is a university-wide initiative honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through reflection, community engagement and service. This event invites students, faculty, staff, and campus partners to come together and answer Dr. King’s enduring question: “What are you doing for others?” The day will begin an opening program featuring a keynote speaker before volunteers depart to serve with several community agencies across Hickory. This event is free and open to all members of the LR community. Preregistration is requested.
