Striving for Inclusive Excellence is the internal DEI training curriculum being provided by the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to all LR faculty and staff. This training consists of five sessions and each session includes a supplemental DEI Immersion.

  • Importance of This Work/Cultural Competence
  • Recognizing Biases
  • Understanding Microaggressions
  • How DEI Connects to Civil Rights Laws
  • Creating a Sense of Safety

The internal sessions will occur monthly with dates for the spring 2024 semester, including Session 1: Importance of This Work/Cultural Competence; March 25-28 and Session 2: Recognizing Biases; April 22-25 . These sessions will be hybrid with in-person and virtual options.

Additional training will continue in fall 2024 and be ongoing, which will also include content available for asynchronous training.
 
This is a joint effort with the Office of Title IX, Leah Reynold; facilitator, and the Office of Multicultural Affairs; Terry Phillips, facilitator.
