Commencement exercises for the Hickory campus have been moved inside because of the strong chance of thunderstorms and rain showers forecast for the afternoon and evening of May 6. Please visit the commencement webpage at www.lr.edu/commencement for the latest updates about the schedule.

To not miss celebrating such a significant milestone for our students, we have decided to relocate our commencement ceremonies in Hickory to P.E. Monroe Auditorium. 

Two commencement ceremonies will be held — one at 4 p.m. and the other at 7 p.m.

• The 4 p.m. ceremony will include undergraduate students completing Bachelor of Art and Bachelor of Music degrees and graduate students in nursing and occupational therapy. 
  • Student Check-in is at 3 p.m. in Mauney Music Building 
  • Trustee Award Presentation: Daniel W. Kiser, retired professor and dean, honored for decades of service to the university
  • Doctorate of Humane Letters: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy
• The 7 p.m. ceremony will include undergraduate students completing Bachelor of Science degrees and all graduate students except nursing and occupational therapy.
  • Student Check-in is at 6 p.m. in Mauney Music Building. 
  • Doctorate of Humane Letters: The Reverend Jack Russell
  • Doctorate of Humane Letters: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy

Tickets

Each student can receive up to four tickets for their guests. If you have not yet picked up your tickets, the box office will be open on Friday from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.

If any additional tickets are available, they will be distributed from 2-3 p.m. You may get up to two additional tickets if available.
